So I Like Jane Austen...
... a lot.
But so do quite a few other people.
Here's some Jane Austen Fun.
Enjoy!
Pride and Prejudice, The New Musical I've read some reviews of this and it sounds awesome!! Not that it will ever play close it here :-(
A Jane Austen Word Game. Let me know how you do on this, it harder than it would seem.
Note: This post makes the most posts I've ever had in one month, 15! I was thinking about in November trying to post once a day for the whole month. Do you think I could do it?

Thankful Thursdays #19

I am thankful for my sight and my hearing.
Luke S.B. and I watched The Miracle Worker a few days ago. Yesterday I wikipedia'ed Helen Keller, and I was impressed once again by this amazing women. She was trapped in a cage of darkness and silence when Anne Sullivan reached through the darkness and gave her the understanding of the world that seemed forbidden to her.

You don't realize how important your sight and sound are until you're without them. It's really amazing. I really have to admire people who don't have hearing and/or sight. But I thank God for giving me my sight and hearing.

Wordy Wednesday #1
Obsequiously
Guess What it means:-)
No Google.
No Dictionaries.
Pure Gray Cells.
EDITED:
Obsequiously means:
Submissive; excessively eager to please or obey.
I'll pick an easier word next week ;-)

Thankful Thursdays #18
I am thankful, that even in this changing time of political upheaval, God is still the same. In 20 days, the U.S. will be picking a new leader. Whoever that leader is I'm glad I know that God will never change, he will take care of me no matter what happens, my obedience to him is all that matters. In God I know what is right and what is wrong, no matter what carnal man may say.
"We may safely assert... that no civil rulers are to be obeyed when they enjoin things that are inconsistent with the commands of God... All commands running counter to the declared will of the supreme legislator of heaven and earth, are null and void; and therefore disobedience to them is a duty, not a crime."
Jonathon Mayhew From a sermon in 1750

"Be Still My Heart..."
"What light in yonder window breaks?
Is it giving my knees the shakes?
Is my worst night mere?
For Friday I shall enter the lair
Of The dreaded DMV
I pray to my friend, thee
For me to pray
As I drive my way.
Through the test
So I may go East and West,
With the license of a driver .
That is, if I do not waiver,
In my skill.
Oh be strong my will.
Eight-ten is the time
Heaven help me do fine.
For if I dare fail
I may never again be hale."

All about I
I am: ME :-)
I know: Jesus loves me
I have: a cute little sister :-)
I wish: I was smart
I hate: how annoying politics are
I miss: being a child
I fear: being an adult
I feel: tired
I hear: Fox News
I smell: the cool night air
I crave: chocolate, what else?
I search: for good books
I wonder: why I have to be so short
I regret: not exercising enough
I love: walking in the rain (hence blog title)
I am not: "sour"
I believe: in love at first sight (stop rolling your eyes)
I dance: the Virgina Reel
I sing: Greensleeves
I cry: at sappy movies
I don't always: understand math (how about never?)
I fight: hardly ever
I write: very silly stories
I win: Apples to Apples (occasionally)
I lose: everything else
I never: get up early
I always: say "since sliced bread"
I confuse: myself
I listen: to rainfall
I can usually be found: reading
I need: to go to bed
I am happy about: my new background
I imagine: you don't want to know

Note:I wasn't tagged, I just found this while blog surfing.

Thankful Thursday #13
I am thankful for Fruit.
I love fruit seriously, it's awesome, I could live on it. Grape, Orange, Apple, Pear, Kiwi, Cranberry,Nectarine, Raspberry, Strawberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, oh sweet heaven, I love them all. In fact the only fruits, to my knowledge, that I don't like are grapefruit and starfruit.I can't even imagine living without fruit. Can you imagine 150 years ago when you only had fruit in season? *shudders* If you didn't already notice, I love my fruit.
The other day we tried a Prapple (A mix between Pear and Apple, it was good in a weird way.)

(You might notice, I improved my blog title to go with my new look)
For those of you who didn't especially like 4, don't worry, I'll get get tired of it soon enough, and change it again.
For those of you who liked the former picture, I agree with you. I liked it too, but it was time for a change I guess.
Thank you all for the opinions!
Please tell me what you think of the new background!

Your Vote Counts!!!
It happened again.
I got bored with my profile picture.
So I've been trying to take self-portraits lately.
Most of them were fuzzy
or blurry,
or I had a weird look,
or a big zit.
But a couple of them were decent.
So vote and tell me which one you like the best!
1.) The normal self-portrait. Me looking decidedly away from the lenses.

2.) A Classic Happy pose although it was hard to act natural with Erica holding the camera a foot from my face saying "Act natural! That smile is SO fake!"

3.)Me attempting to be artistic. Notice my pretty hair, I spent an hour and a half on it.

4.) Erica's favorite of the lot. Notice my not pretty, but nether the less interesting hair.

Thankful Thursdays #12
I love vacations! I'm thankful to be here so I can...Goof off...Sleep late (ha!)...Eat fun food.
I love being a sightseer complete with impulse buys, trying on weird clothes, and taking pictures.
And since we're at the Kalahari, there's swimming at the World's Largest Indoor Waterpark.
(Surfing makes me acknowledge muscles I never knew I had.)
(Note: It's a lot harder than it looks, and it looks really hard!)
*tries to pick up Sarah B. and groans in pain*
Best of all sitting on the tall stool by the mini-kitchen counter 's typing out a blog post on Dad's laptop while sipping a caramel cappuccino.
