This Weekend

I usually have a few things to get done every weekend, but this weekend I have lots to do since Peter Pan is next Friday *squeal*!!!

Things I HAVE to do:
Work Saturday morning.
Babysit the neighbor kids Saturday night.
Make a "Nana's Kennel" sign.
Find my Molly glasses for Smee to use.
Make myself some stuffing, for my "rollie-pollie-little-boy" image.
Read the book of Jeremiah.
Clean my room.
Write an e-mail of directions to the play for a group of "up north" homeschoolers.

Pleasurable Things I would like to do:
Watch an episode or two of Robin Hood, season 2.
Read some from a Louisa Mae Alcott book.
Chat with Erica on Skype (maybe with webcames :-) :-)
Write Kourtney a nice long e-mail!!
Do some shopping:-)

Lets see how much I actually get done...

P.S. I think, Ty, Shan, the girls, AND my Grandparents are all coming next weekend!! WOOT!!

I am..

Considering I hardly drink coffee, this is surprisingly like me..

You Are a Cappuccino

You're fun, outgoing, and you love to try anything new.

However, you tend to have strong opinions on what you like.

You are a total girly girly at heart - and prefer your coffee with good conversation.

You're the type that seems complex to outsiders, but in reality, you are easy to please

So... It's my Birthday

... and yes, I'm getting old.

For all you who rolled your eyes at that, let me explain, when I mean old, I mean I'm not a child anymore, well, I am at heart, but now I have to start acting like one.. what a bother!!!
So do you think I've changed much.

In Loving Memory Of Mary.

Today I told someone, "A lady from a nursing home we visited died". Then I stopped my self, that sounded so causal, oh some elderly lady died, that's sad, but it happens. Well, that's not the way it was, Mary was my friend. True I only saw her every two weeks, and we would only talk for a few minuets after the singing. But I really loved my time with her. She was my friend. She was alert and loved to laugh, she had this one picture she always laughed at, it was from when "Santa" visited in December, she never could get over that in the picture you couldn't tell where Santa's beard ended and Mary's hair began! I remember last Easter her daughter gave her a bunny that sang "Easter Bonnet" she loved the bunny and would laugh when I sang along.

Mary always felt blessed by our coming there and singing, and, bless her heart, she wanted to give something back. So once she gave everyone who came to sing pens, , just the normal ones, but they were all she had.

The last time I saw her I was kicking myself, because I'd taken a picture of Mary and I together, and printed it out, and then forgot to bring it. She'd been most forgiving and we talked about the play, and we decided if we could work it out, she'd like to come see me act and I promised to try to find a way, I also promised to bring the picture in two weeks, two weeks later, everyone at the Nursing Home was sick and we didn't go, that sickness, claimed Mary life.

That last time, somewhere deep down, I knew I would never see her again, I tried to brush it away, but It was there, God's special way of preparing me for losing my dear friend.
I was so blessed to know this wonderfully sweet lady. I'll miss her, but I'll always have this picture.

Chemistry Mondays

ME: *raises hand* "So pressure effects chemical equilibrium? So you can't use liquids or solids in a equations because pressure doesn't effect that, what about when pressure crushes a solid?"

Mrs. S. " Well even after something is crushed to grains of something, say salt it's still a solid, just a small one, it takes heat to make it a gas or liquid."

Ellissa: "What about peanut putter? Is it a solid or a liquid? It can't hold shape."

Lillie: "Wait, how did we get from salt to peanut butter?"

Mrs. S. "Well it's not like peanut butter is a pure element.."

Mrs. Q. "It's a mixture"

Zach: "What about Honey then? It's that same consistency."

Mrs. S. "Hold it!! I used to do this to my teacher but you can't do it to me because we have to finish this book!"

Sam: " Then to we get to blow something up?"

Class: "PLEASE!!"

Now I'm not a fan of chemistry, but our class can really be funny sometimes!!

BTW, don't worry about the blowing some thing up thing, the boys are disappointed that most of our labs consist of counting droplets and boiling cabbage leaves, (seriously!) So every week they come up with a new homemade bomb idea, I think even backing soda and vinegar would satisfy them..
So our teachers said if we finished finished the book the boys could build us some type of chemical bomb. It should be interesting...

What Happens when a Little Girl has Big Brothers?

THIS:Joe's an Indian Jones fan, and before the new movie came out he wanted to watch the previous ones. Problem is, the female members of this family aren't quite as big of fans as the males, so we packed the movies up and put them in a box in the attic. So this Saturday morning Luke (a.k.a. Indie himself), Joe (a.k.a. Indie's father) and Sarah B. (a.k.a. no one, she just dressed up for fun) went on a quest the freezing cold attic to find the movies and save the world as we know it!!!!

Well not quite, but you get the idea.

Where did I get such cute siblings?
