Actually Saturday was.

And it's been three years, not one.

And there's no cake.

But I'm still celebrating it by *gasp* POSTING on my blog!!! :-O :-O

Some Handy Tips

If you know me well you know I'm not a big fan of the whole dating thing. In fact I'm an honorary of member of the famous IDD forum. But I am a HUGE Jane Austen/Elizabeth Gaskill/Period Dramas films fan, so when my Significant Other shows up, he'll probably find these handy tips useful :-)

(A sense of humor is a priceless accoutrement IMHO.)

Things That Make Me Happy/Things That Make Me Sad

Happiness
1. Pushing Daises (Absolutely adorable TV show!)
2. My little pink laptop
3. My jaunty yellow sports car
4. Lightly falling snow
5. Boots so my poor little feet don't freeze in said snow
6. Warm temperatures in February (40 degrees!!! Spring can not come soon enough for me!)
7.An American guy winning Gold in the 2010 Olympics (Evan Lysacek = Amazing)
8. My lovely wonderful jobs (that's right people, I have two jobs, and I absolutely LOVE both of them, I'm a lucky lady!)
9. Texting
10. Laughter, even at one's own expense, is still terrifically calming and wonderful.

Sadness
1. My stupid inclination to procrastination
2. My complete inability to be patient
3. People who think they know everything
4. People who feel the need to let me know that they know everything
5. Never having a clue about how to do anything
6. Premature death
7. The fact that I will never be able to sing the way I'd like to
8. My hair
9.How superficial I can be sometimes
10. How life is made up of so much sadness, although it always seems as if there's just enough happiness to make it all worth while...

Life

HI PEOPLE!

*waves*

Let's talk about life... mine in particular.

It's been... interesting

and very, very boring

all at the same time.

It reminds me of a quote from Jane Austen "Life seems but a quick succession of busy nothings."

^ that pretty much sums up me these past few months. I work, I eat, I sleep, I read. There were moments of uncontrollable laughter, moments of just plain misery, and moments of what-on-earth-is-going-on-will-everything-please-pause-for-a-second-so-I can-figure-this-all-out????

(BTW, please may be the magic word, but it didn't work for me at that ^ time)

There are things to be thankful for of course, so I'm not doing that awful.

First: I am alive, breathing, I am clothed and fed (probably TOO well)

Second: I have two jobs, so I am making a pretty respectable living. One of the jobs is currently driving me nuts... but hey, it's a job!

Third: I am enjoying being graduated, no more school, but more importantly: no more algebra!!!

Forth: It's a new year, I am very hopeful that 2010 will be the best year ever!

Fifth: It might be freezing cold right now, but it will be warm eventually, spring can not come soon enough!


Thank you God for the promise of spring, the passing of each year, and your provisions. Help me to see the blessings in the boredom and please help me to never forget that an amazing thing happened when you died on the cross for my sins. Help me to be worthy of the priceless gift you have given me: eternity with you. Help me to keep my eyes on you and not on me. Amen
