Two quotes of Abraham Lincoln's simple wisdom
"Things may come to those who wait, but only things left by those who hustle."
"He does best in God's great world who does his best in his own little world."
One of the best men to ever serve our country I think. Theodore Roosevelt, George W. Bush and Lincoln are my favorite Presidents.

A Few Random Pictures
She said my name!! The other day mom told me to go do something so I left the room. Mom says after I left Sarah started saying "Idie? Idie?" and putting her hands out in the "where" sign. I'm so blessed!!
Yesterday Mom asked me to take care of S.B. while she got some work done so "we" practiced "my" piano lesson. She looks so studious in this picture. Like she's really playing something. She's stood by herself a few times now, soon she's be walking. *Sniff* my little girl's growing up!
Pink Panther!
Here's the promised Pink Panther cast picture. We didn't take one so I took a picture of the one that's on my autograph sheet. That's me in the pink cardigan in the bottom right-hand corner. Notice the two guys in turbans? Those were my special project because I brought them. They really liked falling off, so I was always fixing them.
Hats!!
My friend Lillie and I decorated some hats last week as her birthday present to me. We had lots of fun making them as extravagant as possible.
There's a close up of mine. Lillie and I both had a fake dove somewhere on the hat, we named them Gwendolen and Lucy. After we finished our hats we dressed up to match our hats and had a photo shoot. Then Lillie and her mom surprised me by saying they were taking me to a tea room, in costume! The people at the tea room thought we were so funny, a bunch of them started taking pictures of us and asking us if we were part of some historical club! After tea we walked down the main street of the town, (it's a long way from where Lillie and I live)Everybody stared at us and waved. It was pretty funny. The flowery box thingy in the background is called a hat box, Lillie's mom bought it for me at an antique store in the town.
I had LOTS of fun.

A Transformation
OK, so yesterday I had this list:
Yes, I know, awful.
But what about this?
Then this:
To this.
Nothing like a full day of cleaning to make one feel accomplished. How do public school kids do it? My room was a pigsty and I was only busy for ONE week, not a whole school year!
Debbie and I were fooling a round with the camera and taking a bunch of funny shots of me in my maid outfit.
All of them are crossed off now:)
P.S. The play went great last night, I'll post some pictures soon as I can. Then I'll tell you about our mid-performance adventure when someone got conked in the head and started to bleed...

Adventures of the Babysitter
Picture this: two baby girls, somewhere between 6 months and a year. Playing on a carpeted floor, one dark haired with brown eyes. The other, light blond hair and blue eyes. The light baby is sucking a binky happily. The dark haired one reaches over and with a determined swipe, plucks the binky away, depositing it in her own mouth contentedly. Light looks a bit startled, but makes no verbal complaint beyond a mumbled fuss. Time passes, Dark becomes upset about something and starts up a wail, out falls the binky. The chance Light has been waiting for, grabbing her property back, she plops it back in her mouth and turns away to play more. Dark, with a fuss, goes for it again, now smarter, Light moves off. Who knew being 8 months could be so complicated??
Crankiness sets in, and our heroine Babysitter herself, is forced to make a decision. On the edge of the living room sits a bouncy chair, complete with lights, sound, toys, rattles, everything that could possibly be annoying, also on the front is the most essential element, a button to turn it off. Light is put in it and for the first time all day is content... for 5 minutes. Soon a piercing cry splits the air, Babysitter, playing quietly with Dark, sighs. Out goes Light, in goes Dark. Dark, who loves the bouncy, could be in there for hours and starts cooing happily. Light looks confused, wasn't she just enjoying herself in there a bit ago? She bawls. Babysitter can not figure out what is wrong, she acted as if she wanted out, now she wants in. Another switch is made, maybe she made a mistake. WAAAAAAAA! On the other hand, maybe she didn't. Another switch. Soon Babysitter realizes the problem. Light wants to play with the toys in the bouncy, but to leave Babysitter's lap?? Are you kidding?? Babysitter sits on the floor in front of the bouncy holding Light in her lap while she plays with the toys on the bouncy while Dark jumps around in the bouncy.
Having twins would definitely be interesting...
Will Babysitter survive till Mom gets home????? Stay tuned for another adventure!!!!!!
