That Day that Comes But Once a Year...

I am currently in my own personal heaven on earth. Just stepping over the doorstep of the farm house makes me blissfully happy :-)

It's because this big farm house surrounded by never-ending fields is home to some of my favorite people.

And when we all get together once a year we're bound to have at least a little fun.

A Clarificatioin and Some Random Thoughts.

Clarification: Joe didn't not "hack" my blog. I accidentally left myself signed in.

What can I say? Brothers make life interesting.

Randomness 1: Mom, Luke Joe and I are leaving (ideally) at 9 to go to Ohio for a speech and debate competition. This is regionals and I'm really hoping to qualify for Nationals, but if we don't I'm sure we'll still have an amazingly awesome time.

Randomness 3: Mom, Susie and I just answered all three of the phones at the same time.

Randomness 4: Speaking of Susie, it's her birthday today! Happy Birthday Dear!

Randomness 5: Another one of my classmates is engaged. That makes 5 (I think). I'm super happy for them, but it's weird. We're all growing up so fast.

Randomness 6: Cowgirl_E is in TX. We made a grand scheme for me to go down there with them.... it sounded lovely but it was not meant to be. *sniff*

Randomness 8: I'll be home Sunday night in time to see the last episode of Little Dorrit (my new favorite mini-series) I love Dickens, but sometimes he drives me bonkers. I have NO IDEA what's going to happen. All I gotta say is Arthur and Amy better end up together or I will be MOST DISPLEASED!

It happened again.
I got bored with my profile picture.

So I've been trying to take self-portraits lately.

Most of them were fuzzy
or blurry,
or I had a weird look,
or a big zit.

But a couple of them were decent.

So vote and tell me which one you like the best!

1.) The normal self-portrait. Me looking decidedly away from the lenses.



2.) A Classic Happy pose although it was hard to act natural with Erica holding the camera a foot from my face saying "Act natural! That smile is SO fake!"



3.)Me attempting to be artistic. Notice my pretty hair, I spent an hour and a half on it.

New Backround

So I want to get a new backround, although I love the current one, which Erica wonderfully put up for me. I thought it was time for a change of scenery. I was looking on Pyzam and found three that I really like. I can't decide between them, so I thought I'd get you people's opinion.

Lydia Margaret is at Camp....

...and most of her readers are too. But there are a few that aren't, so I'm updating for her for their benefit. Lydia was at my house for a week at the beginning of July, and here are some pictures from then:

First, a couple of buddy-buddy pictures. We always get buddy-buddy pictures taken when Lydia comes to my (Erica's) house

One afternoon Lydia (and her sisters) had to help us unload 60-pound hay bales off of the hay rack into the barn. Here she and Merrill enjoy the feel of the wind rushing past at forty miles an hour, after they finished working.

Most of our hard-working, hay-unloading crew. Debbie, Merrill, Audrey, and Lydia.

On Tuesday night the Woodwarth Dramatic Society performed Sense & Sensibility. Bits and pieces from it, at least. Aunt Alice got lots of good pictures, and here are two of Lydia playing two of her parts:
